PM – Surya Ghar Yojana

The Government of India has approved the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana on 29th February 2024 to increase the share of solar rooftop capacity and empower residential households to generate their own electricity. So far, a total of 1.25 Lakh households have already benefited and subsidy of Rs. 800 Crore has been passed on to the beneficiary consumers. To ensure large scale participation in the scheme, a faceless and paperless system for availing the solar rooftop scheme has been deployed in the state.
